In the exciting world of grassroots football, the 14th week of Burntwood Sunday, a 6-a-side league, saw some thrilling matches in both the Premier League and Division 1.
In the Premier League, Top Notch and D.T.F.C battled it out for a 1-1 draw in a tight contest, showcasing robust defence and tactical gameplay. Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref delivered a solid performance with a 2-0 win over Sunday Ringers Utd, asserting their dominance in the league. This Title looks destined to go down to the wire - just 4 points in it now!
The most exhilarating match was none other than our Match of the Day! At the foot of the prem, a contest emerged between Palace In Paris and Yam Yam Army, with Palace in Paris outscoring their opponents with a 4-2 victory. The energy was palpable, setting the tone for the remaining matches of the season! Great to see two new teams well and truly off the scoring mark!
Meanwhile, in Division 1, Bottom Bunch FC left their mark with an impressive 6-0 victory against M S Opeless, proving their offensive abilities. Sporting Stonnall also shined with a 4-0 win over STF FC, demonstrating their solid tactics and teamwork. Ladzio FC showed their strength with a 7-1 victory over Warriors, while FC R United outclassed Hakuna Juan Mata with a 5-1 victory. A couple more weeks like this, and they can put the title race to bed! Amazing performances so far have earnt them this golden position…
