Play in the Burntwood Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

Last night marked the 16th week of the thrilling Burntwood Sunday Football League. With only two weeks left in the season, teams in the Premier League and Division 1 divisions are intensifying their game, fighting for a secure spot in the upcoming season.

We shall kick things off with none other than our centrepiece Match of the Day. In the Premier League, Zingers FC outshone Yam Yam Army in a thrilling match that ended in a 6-4 victory. 10 goals and nothing to lose.. Credit to Yam Yam who are starting to find their feet here.

The Leaders, Sunday Ringers Utd, in another high-stakes game, proved their mettle by claiming a 4-2 win against Top Notch. Taking down the competition by “a notch”! The clash between Palace In Paris and Al-Ettifaq In Ell Ref was a nail-biter, with the latter securing a narrow win of 3-2. D.T.F.C managed to sneak in a single goal against Peek Eboue, consequently claiming victory. They hang in contention for the time being, resting in second place…

Division 1 also saw some heated battles. FC R United dominated the field by shutting out Bottom Bunch FC with a clean 4-0 win. Obese City squeezed a 1-0 victory against Ladzio Fc, while Sporting Stonnall managed to edge out Warriors with a 1-0 scoreline. M S Opeless tamed STF FC with a 3-1 win, while Hakuna Juan Mata and Potato FC balanced each other out in a goalless draw. Some outstanding results here, with some coming courtesy of a couple of unlikely contenders!

As we move towards the end of the season, the top scorers for the Premier League and Division 1 have made their mark. Zingers FC and FC R United are leading their respective divisions, each team showcasing skillful play and an impressive lineup of scorers.

With only two weeks left and spots for the next season on the line, the anticipation is at an all-time high. Both Premier League and Division 1 teams are expected to bring their A-game in the remaining matches. Stay tuned for more thrilling football action from the Burntwood Sunday League.
