It was another good week of 6 a side football in Burntwood on Sunday as all teams were in attendance for their matches across both divisions and some big scorelines in both divisions.
Premier Division leaders Ringers Utd thrashed Peek Eboue by 8 goals to 1 as the top v bottom clash threw up no surprises. That result coupled with second placed Fat FC being beaten 4-1 by Murder on Zidane's Floor gives the leaders a 2 point lead after week 9's games. Third placed DTFC struggled to make ground on the team above them as they lost by the same scoreline against Obese City. Completing the action in the division, FC Bibs got an important result as the team above them won, they were 2-1 winners over 6 Elites as their bid for survival continues.
Division One leaders A Big Bag of Goals demolished bottom placed Hazelwood House in a game that they won 11-1, and boosting their already huge goal difference in the process. Although the title may be too far from them, second placed Greggs on Legs continue their promotion push as they were 3-1 victors over Ladzio FC. Third placed Norton FC keep digging in for the second promotion spot though, they were 5-1 winners over DTFC Warriors, whilst Mexican Smugglers won by the same score line against Warriors as they keep up their outside chance of promotion.
We wish all teams good luck going into game week 10 with Burntwood's premier small sided football providers.
