Sunday 13th February - Burntwood Round-Up

Overall it was a good evening's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches across both divisions as scheduled.

As we introduced the new rule amendments this week we saw some interesting results, none more-so in the Premier Division where Ringers Utd suffered their first defeat of the campaign in week 12, losing 2-1 to fourth placed Murder on Zidane's Floor, meaning their lead at the top is reduced to three points following Fat FC's 5-0 win.  Third placed 6 Elites stay joint second and also three points off the leaders, as they ran out 3-0 victors over Obese City.  Mid-table BUT FC and MK Dongs met this week, and could not be separated, as the two played out a 1-1 draw.

6 Class Players and Andy continue their dominance at the top of Division One as they blew the nearest competition out of the water, thrashing second placed Peek Eboue by a 7-0 score line to move 9 points clear, as they close in on the title with plenty of games to spare.  DTFC stay level with second place as they were 6-2 winners this week.  Ladzio moved up to fourth place and leapfrogged Delph and Safety whom they beat by a single goal, and Fortress won the battle of the long standing teams, edging past Warriors by a 2-1 score line.  Completing the action was Junction Massive who moved further clear of bottom side Hazlewood House who they thrashed 5-1.
