It was a good evening's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side football league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night, including new team Roy's Allstars who played their first fixture and ran out 3-1 winners over Hazlewood House in an encouraging first result.
Ringers United have started the new season off as they finished the last, in fantastic form. They were 9-2 winners over Obese City who suffered their second straight defeat to start the new campaign. 6 Elites and Pique Blinders are the other Premier Division teams to make it 2 wins from 2 so far, 6 Elites winning 3-2 against Murder on Zidane's Floor, whilst Pique Blinders were 4-2 winners against MK Dongs. Tavern Lions returned to action this week after missing last week, they were also 4-2 winners against Inter Your Nan, finally Fat FC ran out 3-0 winners in their matchup with BUT FC to complete the Premier Division action.
Peek Eboue, 6 Class Players and Andy and Warriors all lead the way in the Premier Division, as all won their second games in a row this season. DTFC got their first win of the campaign in style, recording a 6-1 win against Untouchables, whilst Warriors were 3-2 winners in their match against Delph and Safety to get their season off and running too.
We thank all teams for their continued reliability and commitment to the league, and look forward to seeing everyone in attendance for game week 3 with Burntwood's premier provider of small sided football!
