It was another fantastic evening's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night across both divisions as scheduled.
Ringers Utd and Norton FC keep battling away for top spot in the Premier Division, with both picking up wins again this week. Ringers were 4-1 victors over Peek Eboue to stay two points clear, but Norton FC are keeping the pressure firmly on as they were 3-1 winners over fifth placed Tavern Lions. This certainly whets the appetite for this coming Sunday's games where the two meet! It stands a very good chance that the winners of this game will win the league.
We are also pleased to confirm that the vacancy in the Premier Division has now been filled, as we welcome new team Untouchables Reborn to the league, we wish these good luck heading into their game on 23rd May.
There was a turn up for the books in Division one as Real Allstars perfect record came to an end this week, at the 14th time of asking. Well done to third placed Pique Blinders who put in a superb performance against the runaway leaders and were rewarded with a 3-2 win. This result coupled with Obese City's 1-0 defeat to Delph and Safety moves Pique to just three points off second. Can they achieve what looked impossible last week? Time will tell as we approach the final four games of the campaign.
We wish all teams good luck heading into game week 15 with Burntwood's premier provider of small sided football.
