It was a fantastic evening's football in Burntwood on Sunday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night, the only exception being 'Ivory Toast' who had to cancel and have now withdrawn from the league. We are however pleased to welcome new team 'Box of Chocolates FC' to the league as their replacement and wish these good luck going into their first fixture on Sunday 25th November.
There were plenty of goals scored in the Premier Division. Chase Lions remain in second spot after they romped to victory, 5-0 against Jimmy Sevilla. Buddersfield are proving difficult to catch though and remain top of the table by 3 points, this after an impressive 4-0 victory over Peek Eboue.
Other action in the top league saw Bayer Neverlusen batter Mourinho's Elites 6-2 and Bayern Alwayslosen beat Nunohadadream 3-1. The final game of the night was a 1-1 draw in which third placed Top Notch were surprisingly held by Boomxhakalaka.
Division One is looking a lot closer although Ringers United are going to take some catching if this week is anything to go by, they thrashed a mid-table Bacon Mbappe 7-1. Murder on Zidane's Floor broke away from the chasing pack a little, after a 2-1 win over Warriors to go to 19 points. Norton FC were also 4-2 winners over Bottom Bunch so 3rd-5th place are all locked on 17 points as they hunt down a top two place.
The other game of the evening in Division One saw 8th and 9th place cancel each other out, as Untouchables and Multiple Scoregasm drew 1-1.
We wish all teams the best of luck for next weeks matches with Burntwood's premier provider of small sided football.
