Sunday 19th June - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all 16 teams in attendance throughout the night and some excellent matches played across both divisions.

We welcomed back a team of old this week as Norton rejoined DIvision One, they were only narrowly beaten by a single goal against leaders FC Bibs in an encouraging start!

Ringers were 6-1 winners over Obese City this week to effectively seal the title with three games to spare as they maintain their 6 point lead over 6 Elites in second, who themselves were 3-1 winners over BUT FC.  Third placed Murder on Zidane's Floor beat DTFC by the same scoreline, whilst FAT FC moved up to fourth with a 3-2 win over 6 Class Players and Andy to complete the divisions action.

It was a close evening in Division One, as well as the aforementioned 1-0 win for FC Bibs, second placed Peek Eboue also won by a single goal over third placed Ladzio to seal promotion for themselves, whilst Warriors were also 1-0 winners over Real Social Lads.  Greggs on Legs returned to action with a hard fought 2-1 win over Hazlewood House to complete a night of tight matches.
