It was a good afternoon of football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some excellent matches on display.
Ringers Utd showed no let up despite already having the Premier Division title in the bag, they stuck to the task this week as they thrashed Murder on Zidane's Floor by 5 goals to 2. 6 Elites confirmed their second placed finish with a game to spare as they edged past Obese City by a single goal in a closely fought encounter. MK Dongs won an entertaining game by a 4-3 score line over BUT FC in a mid-table game where both sides played with no pressure, whilst FC Bibs got a rare 1-0 win over Greggs on Legs.
The race for promotion from Division One will make for an entertaining last day of the season as three teams are locked on 20 points. Top team 6 Class Players and Andy were convincing 2-0 winners over Peek Eboue, who remain in second just about, whilst Chase FC's thrilling 8-4 win over DTFC sees them pull level on points with their opponents and Eboue. All three have winnable games this week as they all bid to get up.
Fortress guaranteed themselves at least fifth place this week after they ran out 3-0 winners over Warriors in the battle of the two longest serving teams! Elsewhere Junction Massive moved up a place to eighth place with a 7-1 thrashing of Hazlewood House, and Delph and Safety leapfrogged Ladzio to sixth place after they romped to a 5-1 win.
