It was another superb evening of 6 a side football in Burntwood on Sunday which saw all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled and some more entertaining fixtures played across both divisions.
Ringers United were made to work for their points this week but managed to edge out new team Netsix and Chill FC 1-0 to remain top of the pile. Top Notch remain on their tails though and were 5-1 winners in their match against Tavern Lions FC, boosting their already superior goal difference which could prove important by the end of the season.
Chase Lions are also firmly in the mix as they sit in third place, also only a point off the pace, their latest result a 4-0 win over Slightly Overweight. Fourth placed Bayern Alwayslosen are still firmly in the title race too, as they picked up a 3-0 victory against Murder on Zidane's Floor, keeping them just two points off the top. Finally, 6 Stars moved up a place and into seventh as they were 2-1 winners over Peek Eboue.
Norton FC and Bacon Mbappe continued to slug it out for top spot in Division One, but Norton will not let their two point lead slip as they continue to match their rivals results. Norton ran out 7-0 winners against Bottom Bunch this week, enhancing their already superior goal difference in the process as Mbappe were 3-0 winners against Mourinho's Elite.
Jurgen Flopps were the other big winners of the day as they put a recent run of winless matches behind them, beating Multiple Scoregasm 7-0. Box of Chocolates move into fourth place and above Fortress who they beat 4-0 this week, whilst third placed Bayer Neverlusen won 2-1 against Warriors, who drop to within one place of the bottom two.
We wish all teams the best of luck going into the next round of matches with Burntwood's premier small sided football provider.
