It was a good evening's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance across both divisions as scheduled and some excellent matches played throughout the night.
The shootout between the top two in the Premier Division got closer this week as leaders Ringers United suffered a 2-1 reverse at the hands of Murder on Zidane's Floor, allowing second placed Fat FC back within a point of them after they ran out 3-1 winners over 6 Elites, making the last three weeks of the season interesting as it could go either way.
Division One looks pretty much done in terms of the promotion race, Bag of Goals were 7-1 winners over Norton FC as they confirmed the title with 3 games to spare, whilst second placed Greggs on Legs 2-1 win over DTFC Warriors puts them four points clear of third place with only three games to go.
We thank all teams for their continued commitment and reliability and look forward to seeing all in attendance for game week 12 with Burntwood's premier providers of small sided football!
