Sunday 26th June - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a good afternoon's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all 16 teams in attendance for their matches as scheduled and some excellent football played across both divisions as usual.

Ringers left no doubt as they secured the title with two games to spare as they dished out a 12-0 thrashing to BUT FC who took a big knock in their hopes for survival.  6 Elites are bidding for as high a finish as possible and remain in second place as they won a close game against 6 Class Players and Andy by a 2-0 scoreline, whilst third placed Murder on Zidane's Floor keep the pressure on the team above them as they were 2-1 winners against Obese City, whilst fourth placed DTFC leapfrogged Fat FC into fourth place as they ran out 3-0 winners in a comfortable performance.

Division One leaders FC Bibs have as good as sealed the title thanks to their superior goal difference which was further boosted by a comfortable 5-0 win over Greggs on Legs this week.  Peek Eboue have sewn up second place already and shared the spoils with Real Socialads in an entertaining 2-2 draw.  Elsewhere new boys Norton FC got a 2-0 win against Ladzio in their second game since joining, whilst Warriors and Hazlewood House shared a point a piece in a game that ended 1-1.
