It was a good evening's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week, with all teams in attendance for their scheduled fixtures barring Peek Eboue who had given 7 days notice due to the Aston Villa v West Ham game, but will be returning as normal on Sunday 4th September.
Ringers Utd bounced back from last weeks defeat to keep their place at the top of the Premier Division on goal difference, they were convincing 6-2 winners over DTFC, whilst Fat FC stay second after their 5-0 walkover this week. Fourth placed 6 Elites were 4-1 victors in their match against Murder on Zidane's Floor, whilst FC Bibs moved level on points with sixth placed Obsese City whom they were also 4-1 winners against.
Division One leaders A Big Bag of Goals now sit six points clear at the top of Division One, their seventh straight win coming in the form of a 9-1 thrashing of Warriors, whilst second placed Greggs on Legs lost by a 6-1 scoreline to new boys Mexican Smugglers who got their third straight win since joining as they look an impressive addition to the league and may even put on a promotion charge at this rate! Norton FC moved into third place as they head the pack of four teams tied on six points, thrashing Hazlewood House by 10 goals without reply! Ladzio moved off the foot of the table as they were 3-0 winners against DTFC Warriors.
We look forward to seeing all teams in attendance for the next round of fixtures with Burntwood's premier providers of small sided football!
