It was a good evening's football overall in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week with all teams in attendance throughout the night as scheduled, the only exception to this being Real Allsorts who return on Sunday 10th October.
Ringers United won the big game of the day as they edged past Norton FC 2-1, a result which keeps them top of the pile but sees Norton slip six points off the summit. Tavern Lions stay in second place with a 3-2 win against Murder on Zidane's Floor, a result which keeps them four points off the top as they look to stage an unlikely comeback to the league title. The top two meet on Sunday 17th October in what promises to be a mouthwatering game.
BUT FC continue to dominate in Division One with their 14th win in a row, they were 5-0 victors over Gylfi's U12's this week in another dominant performance. Second placed Obese City are not going to win the title this season, but they are looking to grab the second promotion place as they were 4-0 winners over Untouchables Reborn.
