Sunday 6th March - Burntwood Round-Up

It was a good evening's football in the Burntwood Sunday 6 a side league this week, which saw all teams in attendance for their matches throughout the night, the only exception to this being 'Rebellions' who had to cancel on what was due to be their first game with us.  We will be in contact with them accordingly to confirm their return on Sunday 13th March.

We welcomed another new team to the league this week though, Greggs on Legs had a tough start against 6 Elites but held them to a single goal in a 1-0 defeat, they will be looking to build upon this moving forward!

Ringers Utd's domination continues in the Premier Division, as they thrashed FC Bibs by a 10-0 score line this week, all but confirming the title with 3 games to play!  Fat FC dropped out of the top two after suffering a 2-0 reverse to Murder on Zidane's Floor, whilst MK Dongs edged past this weeks opponents by a 2-1 score line over Obese City to move up to sixth spot.

Division One continues to led comfortably by 6 Class Players and Andy despite the fact they were beaten for the first time in 15 games, a 3-2 defeat to third place DTFC, moving them a point behind second placed Peek Eboue who drew 1-1 with Warriors.  Chase FC were 2-1 winners this week as they continued their perfect start since joining the league.  Elsewhere Fortress keep their place in fifth following a 2-0 win over Hazlewood House, and Junction Massive ran out winners in a 9 goal thriller as they beat Delph and Safety 6-3!
