SOUTHAMPTON -
The Southampton Thursday 6-a-side football league was full of action in week 3 as teams set out to make their mark in their respective divisions.
In Division 1, the competition was fierce with Studs On Tour falling to Don't Look Back Tanganga with a 4-1 defeat in a high-pressure game. Despite Studs On Tour's effort, Don’t Look Back Tanganga’s defence proved too strong. Elsewhere in the division, in a thrilling end-to-end game, Rodallega Bombs edged out Wushi Wanderers 6-5, strengthening their position in the league. Chicken Tikka Takka and Dont Look Back Elanga dazzled the spectators with a goal fest, where the latter came out on top with a 9-6 victory, marking one of the highest-scoring games of the night.
Moving on to Division 2, Say Less FC showcased their dominance with a 3-1 triumph over Bussoc FC. Meanwhile, Mayflower FC A secured a comfortable 3-0 victory against Chambers Fc!, further cementing their spot in the league table.
Down in Division 3, it was Colonel Getafe who stole the headlines, steamrolling Expected Toulouse 5-1 in a one-sided encounter. In another high-scoring match, Phil McCorey struggled against She Wants Matip, falling 5-2. Paqueta Busquets also had a successful day on the pitch, overcoming Not A Kalou! with a 4-1 win.
The top scorers in each division include Don't Look Back Tanganga in Division 1, Mayflower FC A in Division 2, and Colonel Getafe in Division 3. Each team showcased exceptional skill and strategy, contributing to the thrill of the league.
