The Solent and University of Southampton Thursday 6-a-side league at Cantell School

In the early matches, ‘5 in the Pink, 1 in the Stink’ comfortably beat a tired-looking ‘Culture FC’ 6:1, with some intricate dribbles carving open the latter’s defence.  In the other match, ‘Mayflower FC B’ edged out ‘Punani Palace FC’ 2:1 in a close encounter.  ‘Stem K Dons’ won against ‘Up Your Arsenal’ 2:1, while ‘Choomah FC’ and ‘SNS’ played out a far more enthralling encounter, with the former coming narrowly out on top 5:4.  

After this, the goals started flowing as ‘Aston Birra’ lost 5:3 to ‘I Kante Fit My Willian’ and ‘Levant FC’ fought back impressively from 4:0 down to lead 5:4 against league newcomers ‘Adam’s Under 11s’.  However, in the dying seconds of the game, the rookies kept their cool to dispatch an effort and seal an iconic 5:5 draw.
