Chelmsford Wednesday's 5 a side Football League Kicks Off New Season

The inaugural week of the Chelmsford Wednesday 5 a side football league started with a bang last night, with teams across four divisions - Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 - coming face-to-face for the first challenges of the season.

In the Premier League division, Eden’s Army proved its mettle by defeating Punters Corner with a commendable 6-3 victory. FC Snoozemia also started strong with a 5-2 win over Sky Kicks. Tenkem FC triumphed over W4B in a high-scoring match that ended 6-4. Tinchy Sneijder rounded off the Premier League action, outclassing Unathletico Broomfield with a 5-1 win.

In Division 1, Ajax Trees Down toppled Expected Toulouse in an exciting 11-5 encounter, exhibiting an impressive offensive performance. Club Tropicana Drinks FC also dominated, pulling off a 7-3 win against Two Brewers. Plough Town edged out Tekkerslovakia in a tight contest that ended 2-1.

The equally exciting Division 2 saw a thrilling draw, with Barely Athletic and Fatalanta FC splitting the spoils at 4-4. Lisp United outscored Wardrobes 7-3, while PAIN IN DIAS narrowly defeated The Gearheads 4-3.

Division 3 witnessed Cunning Stunts kick off their campaign with a convincing 4-1 victory over Goal Diggers FC. Gbg Generals and Meet The Fekirs ended in a 2-2 stalemate, and MNF triumphed over Unathletico Madrid, securing a 3-1 win.
