Monday's Match Report
As the colder months roll in and the nights draw shorter, the heat is certainly turned up at the Chester Monday 7-a-side Football League. Week 8 of the competition saw teams across all divisions battle it out under the floodlights in a thrilling evening of action.
All teams were in attendance as scheduled, we thank all teams for their continued reliability and support as always
In the Premier League, CEEAITCHTHREE FC edged past WoolyBack Rovers with a slim 1-0 victory, while Huzzy Wuzzie FC and JIMMY LLOYDS HASSEL-BANK FC both notched up 2-0 wins over Try Hards and PlayLikeAlmiron respectively. MICKYS MAGNIFICENT 7 were the stand-out performers of the division, dispatching Pique Blinders FC with a 3-0 triumph.
Division 1 was tightly contested this week. Dill Dough Balls managed to sneak a 1-0 win over Team 1. FC STONE and OMOW shared the spoils in a goalless draw while FEED THE GOAT and Sheffield Monday couldn't be separated in a thrilling 3-3 stalemate. The battle between GREAT ESCAPE and Its About To Get Messi also ended in a hard-fought 1-1 draw.
Moving onto Division 2, Adid-ass Predators secured a 2-0 win against TBD and Sporting Abeergut clinched a narrow 1-0 victory over BIG L. Daves Boys and Rubber Dingy Rapids FC were unable to find a breakthrough in a 0-0 draw. In a five-goal thriller, HARDLY ATHLETIC edged past ESC7 with a 3-2 win.
In Division 3, Inhaler FC claimed a comfortable 4-1 victory over YO YO FC. The Bouv FC narrowly defeated M&S Bank FC 2-1, while Black Rabbit FC fell to a 3-0 defeat against Rolt Rovers FC. REAL GREENS and Rising Stars FC played out a six-goal thriller which ended 3-3.
