It was a thrilling season opener of the Chester Monday Football League, teams across four divisions - Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, and Division 3 - put on a fantastic display of sportsmanship and skill, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats.
The Premier League kicked off with BIG L and Team 1 settling for a goalless draw. However, the match of the day was Jimmy Lloyds Hassel-Bank FC, who outclassed Mickys Magnificent 7 with a scoreline of 4-1. The other two fixtures - Sheffield Monday vs PlayLikeAlmiron and WoolyBack Rovers vs The Bouv FC - ended in 3-3 and 0-0 ties respectively.
Over in Division 1, Pique Blinders FC eked out a narrow 1-0 victory over Flintshire Fc, an identical result seen in the Mozam FC and FC Argyle match. However, the highlight of the division was Great Escape's dominant 5-0 victory over Billard FC. Elsewhere, Ceeaitchthree Fc and Feed the Goat battle doubt a goalless draw.
M&S Bank FC began their Division 2 campaign on a high note, thrashing Hardly Athletic 4-0. Real Greens also bagged a win, beating Huzzy Wuzzie FC 3-1. Both Wezzy Wanderers and tea And Busquets return to competitive action next week
In Division 3,Black Rabbit FC and YO YO FC showed their prowess with 5-0 and 4-1 victories over Opera Grill FC and ESC7 respectively. Inhaler FC rounded off the day with a 3-0 win over Barely Athletic.
