LEAGUE CANCELLED THURSDAY 20TH JUNE DUE TO ENGLAND MATCH
IMPORTANT ANNOUCEMENT- Please can all teams be aware that the Thursday 7 a side league has been cancelled on June 20th due to the England vs Denmark match at Euro 2024
The website fixture lists have been updated and we look forward to seeing all teams back in attendance as usual on Thursday 27th June
Thursday's Match Report
It was a great evening of action at Chester Leisure Leagues on Thursday with plenty of tightly contested games across the divisions. All teams were in attendance with the exception of Socceroos who will return to competive action when the league resumes on Thursday June 27th
In the Premier League division, AngelasAngels clashed with league debutants Barely Athletic FC in an intense standoff that ended in a 0-0 draw. Meanwhile, Whats The Mata managed a narrow victory over Steak And Vale Pie, with a final score of 1-0. Texas Oldham got back on form as they beat Unathletico Madrid 5-1. However, Thirsty Thursdays FC are our new league leaders as they secured a 1-0 win against The Oil.
In Division 1, Ch1 FC put in the performance of the evening as they beat Poortugal in5-1 victory. The match between FC Polonia and AFC Vegas ended in a goalless draw, while Mount Your Mum suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat at the hands of Saughall.
Division 2 saw the battles of the underdogs with CBFA edging past Murder On Zidanes Floor 3-2, and Boughton Bombers securing a 2-0 win over Mount Your Dad. Stella Courtois overpowered Tbombs Titans 3-0. The match between Yellow Brick Wall and Jaeger Young Boys ended in a 1-0 victory for the latter.
