The Rubery Friday 6-a-side Football league kicked off with a bang last night as the Premier League division sees its first week of high-octane action. The season, which has just started, saw some thrilling goals and classic match-ups.

Opening the proceedings were Boca Seniors and Borussia Teeth, in a match that saw Borussia Teeth bag a 4-2 victory. The match was made memorable by the outstanding performance of Craig Williams. Williams managed to score three superb goals for Borussia Teeth, leading the team to their first victory and making him the top scorer in the Premier League division this evening

West Heath United set a strong tone for the season with a comprehensive 5-0 win over Deportivo FC. The team showcased an impressive offensive display, raising the bar high for the upcoming matches as they look to reclaim their title

Total Football had a tough night, losing 5-1 to Kennys Clowns 1997. This defeat sets a challenging precedent for Total Football who will now be looking to bounce back in their next game. The reigning champions who picked up their trophy after, started as they mean to go on. Special mention to Barber who made a guest appearance second half in his work trousers!

In the tightest match of the night, Last Legs FC narrowly edged out Crouch Potatoes with a 3-2 victory. The match had spectators on the edge of their seats right to the final whistle. A good start for one of our newest teams Crouch Potatoes, who will take confidence from their second half performance but a result to remember for Last Legs
