In the electrifying world of local football, Rubery Thursday’s 6 a Side football league season has just kicked off, demonstrating an exceptional display of skill, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The event was marked by the clash of titans in both the Premier League and Division 1.
The Premier League division started off with a bang, pitting SakaPotatoes against Beautiful Men. It was the Beautiful Men who emerged victorious, concluding the match with an impressive 4-0 victory.
Most Valuable Player- Zane (Beautiful Men)
The other matches in this division saw the Chasers81120 FC triumph over Pipers FC with a 2-4 win, and Last Legs FC secured a 2-0 victory over Pathetic Athletic.
Most Valuable Player- Rhys Bowler (Chasers) and Brennan (Last Legs)
In Division 1, Oldman Arthritic faced a tough match against Excelsior FC, who claimed a decisive 4-0 win. Excelsior could be dark horses for the title this season whilst Oldman will take a lot from their performance
Most Valuable Player- Charlie Edwards (Excelsior FC)
Maradona Kebabs and FC Boutay ended in a stalemate with a 0-0 draw, while Field FC exhibited an offensive masterclass, smashing Macciesonaramp with a whopping 8-1 victory.
Most Valuable Player- Harvey Barry (Maradona Kebabs) and Herbert (Field FC)
In this division, the star of the show was Reegan Hollier from Field FC, who single-handedly bagged four goals, making him the top scorer of Division 1. Reegan's on-pitch heroics have certainly set the bar high for his competitors and his future performances will be eagerly anticipated.
