Play in the Rubery Thursday 6-a-side football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In an action-packed Week 9 of the Rubery Thursday 6-a-side Football League, teams from the Premier League and Division 1 divisions battled it out on the pitch, with some standout performances and breathtaking goals.

In the Premier League Division, Beautiful Men reigned supreme with a crushing 12-0 victory over Chasers81120 FC. This significant win was largely due to the remarkable efforts of Jack Thomson who netted a whopping five goals, thereby topping the score charts for this division. Chasers to be fair, did have to borrow players but take nothing away from B-Men who secured their 5th league title with the win

Most Valuable Player - Thomson (Beautiful Men)

The other matches in this division saw some intense competition too with FC Boutay securing a 3-1 win over Field FC. Boutay could be a real threat next season in Division 1, whilst the final relegation places goes to the last day between Chasers and Field FC

Most Valuable Player - Theo McMahon (FC Boutay)

Last Legs FC and SakaPotatoes battled it out to a 1-1 draw, showcasing the competitive spirit that has come to define this division. With a point separating these two teams, the last game of the season will decide who finishes in 2nd place

Most Valuable Player - McGrory (Last Legs)

Meanwhile, in Division 1, there were some equally exciting games. Excelsior FC overcame Maradona Kebabs 2-1 in a nail-biter, thanks in large part to Charlie Edwards who scored both goals for Excelsior FC, making him the top scorer in the division for Match Week. 9

Most Valuable Player - Edwards (Excelsior FC)

Munter Hunters squeaked past Pipers FC with a 2-1 victory in another gripping contest to take the Div1 title to the final day

Oldman Arthritic were beaten by Pathetic Athletic 3-1, demonstrating the dynamic nature of this division. Both Carr (Pathetic) and Harris (Oldman) were the driving forces in their teams respectively with Harris taking home the MVP

The results saw both Pathetic and Munters promoted to the Premier League, with the final day games seeing who finishes as league champions

The week's games highlighted not only the fiercely competitive spirit of the teams involved but also the individual brilliance of standout players like Jack Thomson and Charlie Edwards.
