In the riveting Week 5 of the Rubery Thursday 6-A-Side Football League, the competition stayed white-hot as the teams pushed forward in their pursuit of glory. Match results from both the Premier League and Division 1 showcased some intense football, leaving spectators and fans on the edge of their seats.

The Premier League division saw Athletico Northfield narrowly losing to Beautiful Men in a 5-4 encounter, a game that was undoubtedly a treat for the spectators.  The win keeps the reigning champions 2 points clear at the top

Tika Taka FC fought gallantly but fell short 3-2 to Murdaonthedancefloor. A big bounce back after their loss last week, and a result that keeps the Murda boys a point behind Tika Taka

 The highlight of the night, however, was the match between Perrys FC and Pique Blinders. Pique Blinders showcased their dominance with a resounding 7-0 victory, solidifying their position in the league. Mardeborough was the standout player for the Premier League, scoring an impressive total of 5 goals for Pique Blinders and becoming the top scorer.

Over in Division 1, the matches were equally thrilling. Chasers81120 FC triumphed over FC BomersField 6-3, thanks to their clinical finishing.

 There was a strong performance by Last Legs FC, securing a 2-1 victory over Waxed Or Arshavin. That is 5 out of 5 for Last Legs, as they look to bounce back to the top division.

Misfits FC outclassed The Special Inbetweeners 4-1, considered by many as dark horses for promotion, Misfits are in good form and will look to continue this against Pathetic next week


Most Valuable Player - Fisher (Misfits FC)


Nordic FC showcased their mettle, shutting out Pathetic Athletic 3-0. This keeps Nordic within 2 points of the top, and continuing their impressive start to the season


Most Valuable Player - Charlie W (Nordic FC)


The top scorer in Division 1 was the prolific Dimitri, who netted an impressive three goals for Chasers81120 FC. With just 2 points separating 1st to the 4th, games such as Nordic vs Chasers next week will be crucial in the race for promotion

As we head into Week 6, the league positions are set to shift as teams vie for the top spots.
