Shlongheads win top 2 clash at Newton Abbot 6 a side

It's good to be back and catching up on all the results from our Newton Abbot Monday night 6 a side league. 

Shlongheads are now the only side with a 100% record at the halfway point of the season as they defeated second place Newton Wanderers 7-2.  Captain Sean Ayre and Jake Smith both scoring braces for Shlongheads to condemn Wanderers to their first loss of the season. Murder On Zidane's Floor closed the gap to second place to two points as they beat FC Fairways 6-3, Saul Vains and Tom Gubbins both hitting hat-tricks for Zidane's. Finally Six Offenders picked up a big win as they won 10-1 against Fiorentina Turner. The league's top goal scorer Josh Haynes banged in 5 goals to out do teammate Elliot Simson by one goal with his strike partner grabbing 4. Simson is also just one behind Haynes overall.
