Ashton Villa II up to second at Cowes Tuesday 6 a side

It was good to be back down at Cowes Tuesday 6 a side to visit last night. All expected teams were in attendance although we do have one spot available at the moment for a new team to join and get started.

The leaders Old Guns had the night off with a space in the league and no one available to play them so they picked up a points match win. Ashton Villa II are now up to second in the table after coming from behind to win 2-1 against Pique Blinders. Pique captain Elliott Bracken-Lamb opened the scoring before Josh and Ben Urkie turned the match round for the home team to seal the win. Another team to take the lead were Ice Island who went ahead against Notting Your Mum's Forest before Forest found their rhythm and turned it round in emphatic style to win 7-2. Dean Attrill fresh in a new pair of Adidas Mundial boots won in the Leisure Leagues prize draw put them to good use scoring 4 goals to help his team to victory. In the other match despite threatening a late come back with a goal from Michael Jenkins it was never really on the cards for Expected Toulouse as St Mary's won 5-1 with goals from Dove, Bone 2, Rees and Millar.

Thank you to all our teams and our refs Jukesy and Chris. See you all next week. Any new teams looking to grab the available spot please contact Rich on 07969 731086 or register at the link below:
