Congratulations to Balti Boys who have successfully retained their title in the Cowes 6 a side Premier League. In the thrilling eleventh and final week we witnessed some captivating games, the pick of them being between Mo's Salads and Balotelli-tubbies. Balotelli-tubbies secured an impressive 4-2 victory, with Mo's Salad having more than enough chances to come away with at least a point. It was an end to end game showcasing the competitive nature of the league in Cowes.
The evening was marked by intense gameplay and exceptional team strategy, with both teams displaying commendable sportsmanship and skill. The dedicative efforts of the players were evident in the exhilarating and high-scoring match. The Premier League division hasn't witnessed such a riveting performance in quite some time.
The star of the evening was undoubtedly Antony Cowburn of The Balti Boys. He netted the ball four times, securing his place as the top scorer of the division. His performance was a feast for the eyes of football enthusiasts, and he undoubtedly led his to a stellar end for the season.
The Cowes Tuesday League has seen some phenomenal performances this season and Jord Whittle's haul of 20 goals for Chewbacca see's him take home the golden boot while Liam Blyth of Kroos Control and Mackenzie Shearing from Baines on Toast share the seasons MVP award.
We head straight into a brand new season next week and will be actively recruiting new teams to join the committed ones we have so if you are looking for a midweek fix to get you through all this wet weather and lack of Saturday football, now is the time to join us in Cowes on a Tuesday night.
