All 8 teams were in attendance as normal at our Cowes Tuesday 6 a side league on another fantastic evening at Cowes Enterprise College.
Old Guns march on at the top as they saw off Ashton Villa II in a top of the table clash. Both teams went into this one with 100% records but it was only Old Guns who came out of it with theirs in tact winning 4-0 to go two points clear. Jumping up into second place now are Ice Island who took on an Expected Toulouse side who gave them a run for their money. Luke Ward and Michael Jenkins both scored twice for Toulouse along with a goal from captain Owen Connelly before going down eventually 9-5. Fin Phillips scored 5 times for Ice Island to add to goals from Chance Higgins 3 and Morgan Perrin. Your Mums An Agbonlahor (formerly Fake Madrid) won a 9 goal thriller 5-4 against Notting Your Mums Forest in what they are calling Your Mums derby. Agbonlahor's goals coming from Tom Brownrigg, Jamie Linington 2 and Jack Bardsley 2. Finally St Mary's are starting to find their form as they followed up last weeks win with one over Pique Blinders beating them 8-2. St Mary's had 4 goalscorers all scoring twice each, they were Duncan Millar, Callum George, Dean and Freddie Knowles. Elliot Bracken-Lamb and Jake Holton found the back of the net for Pique.
Thank you again to all our teams. Also a big thank you to Calum, Nick and Chris our refs. See you all on Tuesday 29th June as there is no league next week due to England's match in the Euro's. Come On England!!!
