It was fantastic to see 6 a side football return to Cowes Enterprise College last night after 6 months away. Sport and exercise is massively important for not only for your physical condition but also provides mental health benefits so it's good to see that organised sports will be allowed to continue and is except from the latest government announcement.
Onto the results at Cowes last night and with 3 games to go it couldn't get any closer at the summit as the top 2 both won last night to stay level on points. Northwood Nobbers currently hold top spot on goal difference after a thumping win over a battling young Expected Toulouse side. The match finished 12-1 to Nobbers with Matt Bates top scoring with 6. Realsosobad stayed level after a much tougher assignment against AFC Sleaze to win 6-3, Nick Vyse with 5 in this one. The Ryde Saints and Pique Blinders match also finished 6-3 with Saints picking up the points, Kai O'Neill getting 4 while captain Ryan Lacey also chipped in with a goal before donning the gloves for the final part of the match. Finally due to Vectis departing the league there was a points match win for Notting Your Mums Forest. We hope to have a new team in before next week and are actively seeking a replacement, thank you to Pique Blinders for playing a second match so Forest had a game.
A big thank you to all teams and see you next week. As mentioned we do have one place left in our Cowes league. If you are interested in getting your team down there to play on the 3G every Tuesday evening then please contact Rich on 07969 731086 or register your team at the link below:
