END OF SEASON - CHEWBACCA THE NET CROWNED CHAMPIONS!

In an exhilarating culmination to the Cowes Tuesday 6 a side Football league, the contest saw a mix of triumphs and setbacks in the final week. The Premier League saw some jaw-dropping performances, with teams jostling for glory and players pushing their limits for the ultimate prize.

Obi Wan Iwobi delivered a stunning 3-0 victory against Baines On Toast, while Chewbacca The Net fell to Vectis Road Ultras in a high-scoring game that finished 7-4. Dragons Fire Utd couldn't contain Lads On Toure, who secured a comfortable 5-1 win to wrap up the 18-week season.

In the midst of this high-octane action, one player stood out for his exceptional performance. Bill Wilkinson from Obi Wan Iwobi was named the most valued player of the week. His skillful display and contribution to the team's win exemplified the spirit of the game, making him an undisputed choice for the accolade.

The Premier League division was a sight to behold as Chewbacca The Net emerged the champions. With a tally of 33 points from 16 wins, they demonstrated an impressive run of form and were the deserving winners of the prestigious title. A mention must also go to Obi Wan Iwobi for claimimg the runners up spot and Callum Bowen Clarke was the player of the season for Chewbacca.

The league, known for fostering camaraderie and competitiveness, ended on a high note, leaving teams and players with unforgettable memories and experiences. As we bid adieu to this season, the countdown for the next one begins as it starts next Tuesday 16th July. We do have a new team called  Cephaloscorin starting this week so we would like to welcome them to the league and wish them luck for the campaign.
