We kicked off another brand new season in Cowes last night as our new Tuesday night 6 a side campaign got underway. We welcomed two brand new teams to the action with Diverse Cowboys and Victor Moses Lawn both debuting at the Cowes Enterprise College 3G pitch. The two teams got drawn against each other for the season opener too with Moses Lawn coming away with the points 6 - 2, hattricks for Vinnie Morgan and Ben Colder doing the damage. Elsewhere there was a 3 - 1 win for Old Guns against Pique Blinders and in a very entertaining match Millenials Plus edged past Baines on Toast 7 - 5. The goals all shared around for the winners but Rowen Churchill was the main man for Baines with a hattrick. The biggest win of the night went to champions St Marys who showed no mercy against Khedira Pin Drop, banging 19 past them without reply. Macca with a ridiculous start to the season netting 14 on his own. Hopefully just a bad night for Khedira who normally always show plenty of character and will need to again to bounce back next week.
Thanks to Calum, Jukesy and Pete for managing the night so smoothly, lets hope this develops into a great season on the Islands premier playing surface.
