A great evening of 6 a side football at Cowes Tuesday as all teams with the exception of Ashton Villa II were in attendance for match day 11. We will be confirming before next week if Villa will be back but thank you for getting your match fee paid on time and to St Mary's for staying on at late notice.
At the top of the table Old Guns move another step closer to successfully defending their title as they defeated a plucky Pique Blinders side 6-4. Blinders captain Eliott Bracken-Lamb lead by example as he fired in 4 goals for the visitors however it wasn't enough as goals from Josh Tombleson 2, Alex Cotton 2, Ross Lacey and Dave Haynes sealed the win for Guns. With Ashton Villa away Ice Island picked up a points match win to stay second, four points adrift. Dean Attrill and Liam Slaven scored for Notting Your Mum's Forest in their match against St Mary's however it was St Marys who went on to secure the victory 4-2 to move up to 5th. Finally All Sorts FC in their third game after joining the league picked up their first win against Expected Toulouse. Toulouse drafted in James Gallop and myself for guest appearances for this one but in a great game All Sorts came out on top winning 6-4 with goals from Luke Chessell 3, Alex Chessell and Dan Cass. Toulouse captain Owen Connelly struck while James Gallop scored along with a couple from myself in reply.
Thank you to all our teams and to our refs Calum and Reece for standing in. See you all next week for match day 12. Thanks Rich
