Top 2 win again at Cowes 6 a side

With just 2 weeks left to play of this season it couldn't get any closer at the top of our Cowes Tuesday 6 a side Premier League as both Northwood Nobbers and Realsosobad battle it out for the title.

This week Nobbers faced new boys Thorness Bay who had a few familiar faces amongst their ranks as Flash and Ryan who are regulars at our Ryde league made their Cowes debuts on the 3G. Thorness Bay had plenty of their own chances especially in the first half but it was Northwood who came through in the end to stay top with a 3-0 win. This meant Realsosobad needed to win on the pitch next to them to stay level on points and although they also didn't have it all their own way in the first half they ran out comfortable 9-1 wins by the end with goals from Nick Vyse 5, Jordan Whittle 3 and Bertie Watson 1. 

The other two matches in the division were tight as Expected Toulouse almost picked up their first point of the season after an excellent display against AFC Sleaze. Strikes from Owen Connolly and Dan Sartini weren't quite enough to avoid a 3-2 defeat. Finally the skills were on show in at times a heated display between Ryde Saints and Notting Your Mum's Forest as the two sides couldn't be separated and shared the points in a 4-4 draw.
