Leisure Leagues' Crewe Sunday 6 aside league held at Cumberland Arena was filled with excitement as all teams, except STAL, Six Offenders and Clitoris Allsorts, attended the event. The organizers were able to arrange fixtures for the opponents of the cancelled teams with enough time, ensuring that all teams could participate in the league.
As the matches kicked off, there were some fantastic scores to behold. FC Octagon secured a solid 4-0 win against FC WES, while Chatwins FC achieved a resounding 7-3 victory against HEATHFIELD. Nantwich on Tour managed to overcome Choccy Brownies FC with a 2-0 scoreline, and Dad Bods United claimed a 4-2 win over Exeter Gently.
However, the event was not without its issues, as reports emerged of a player from Exeter Gently exhibiting threatening and abusive behaviour. The organizers of the event have taken a strong stance against this kind of behaviour, stating that it will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Due to the severity of the abuse, the entire Exeter Gently team has been removed from the league. Fortunately, there is a team on the waiting list that will be able to take their place. The organizers of the event are urging any other interested teams to sign up for the league, as they are always keen to welcome new participants.
Overall, the Leisure Leagues' Crewe Sunday 6 aside league held at Cumberland Arena was a success, with some thrilling matches taking place. The organizers are committed to ensuring that the league is a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants, and will not tolerate any abusive or threatening behaviour.
