All the latest news for the Ashton Monday 6 side league direct from the Curzon Ashton Football Club.
It was a great night in the league as once again all teams were in attendance as expected and playing some great football.
In the Premier league there is still nothing to choose between first and second as both Ashton CC and Gashtag United are locked on 5 points each and only separated by one goal. With them playing each other in the opening week of the season and playing out a 1-1 draw it could go down to the reverse fixture later in the season. Still hoping to have a say in the title race is G Town Mafia who sit just one point behind having lost just the one game so far.
Shalom FC are rooted to the bottom of the table and captain Jack Brooks has gone on record as saying after winning promotion to the premier league last season and winning 6 new tops from the prize draw last week they are hoping for a big improvement starting with their fixture next week against FC Celtic 6 who sit directly above them in the table.
In Division one Bang Average are certainly not living up to their team name as they have now won their opening 3 matches of the season. They lead the way by two points from Rewind United who currently sit in the second promotion spot. The rest of the teams all sit on 2 points showing you need to be at your best each week to take home the points.
We are already looking forward to next weeks action in the Ashton Monday 6 a side league.
