A Thrilling Week of Action at the Ashton Under Lyne Football League
The Ashton Under Lyne Monday Football League saw another riveting round of matches in its fifth week, with teams across all divisions showcasing their skills and grit. With nail-biting finishes, surprise results, and stellar individual performances, the week had it all.
In the Premier League division, the match between Railway FC and 2 Girls 1 Schlupp ended in a tense 3-3 draw. NEWTON FC and Sulivans Vi, too, battled it out to a 2-2 draw. However, the highlight of the division was the high-scoring encounter between Celtic and Unathletic Madrid, in which Celtic emerged victorious with a scoreline of 6-3. Celtic's Dylan S spearheaded the charge, bagging two goals and earning the top scorer's title for the division.
Meanwhile, in Division 1, The Blue Punishers fell to Jabbalads FC 1-5, and Ste Min Fc faced defeat against The VARginas 0-4. Walking Donderers displayed their dominance by trouncing Kenneth Rovers 10-0. Toby of Walking Donderers shined with his hat-trick, earning the top scorer honor for the division.
Division 2 experienced a similar wave of excitement. Droylsden United edged out Tameside Tigers 2-1, while McMuffin Men and Troopers Fc shared points in a 1-1 draw. Barclaysmen emerged victorious over Tekkerslovakia with a whopping 9-3 win, with Finlay Hampson leading the scoreboard with three goals.
Lastly, in Division 3, Stamford FC handed Bog Nation a 4-0 defeat, while T2P secured a narrow victory over MK Dongs 2-1. Man Chest Hair United beat The Queens Football Club 3-1, and Ninja Skrtels convincingly beat Hoddlebogs VI 8-1. Nathan of T2P stood out, scoring two goals and becoming the division's top scorer.
