The Ashton Under Lyne Monday Football League concluded its 14th week of the season yesterday with some high-intensity matches across all five divisions. The league, which featured some of the most competitive six-a-side teams from around the region, saw major battles that eventually determined the winners of each division.
In the Premier League, the face-off between Unathletic Madrid and AFC BC resulted in a thrilling 3-3 draw. However, it was 2 Girls 1 Schlupp that triumphed overall, clinching the title with an impressive 23 points and 10 wins. The top scorer in Premier League was James Pendleton, who added two more goals to his tally playing for AFC BC.
In Division 1, a stellar performance from Toby who scored a hat-trick for Walking Donderers led them to a convincing 6-3 victory against Leavemyarselona FC. Walking Donderers also emerged as champions in Division 1 with an equally remarkable record of 23 points and 10 victories.
Barclaysmen took home the Division 2 title with 22 points and 11 wins, while Gino stood out as the top scorer with three goals for Tekkerslovakia in a match against UK Decs.
In Division 3, Man Chest Hair United barely scraped a victory against Stamford FC, but it was Stamford FC who won the division with 23 points and 11 wins. Tyler from The Queens Football Club emerged as the top scorer, netting four goals against Hoddlebogs VI.
Finally, in Division 4, Ashton Villa fell to Egg Fried Reus in a goal-heavy match, but still managed to claim the division title with 10 points and 5 wins. Shaun from Egg Fried Reus was the standout performer, scoring an incredible seven goals.
