ASHTON 6 A SIDE SUNDAY LEAGUE NEWS 8TH MARCH 2020

All the latest news for the Ashton Sunday 6 a side league direct from Curzon Ashton Football Club.

It was a good night in the league with the teams in attendance playing some good football and scoring plenty of goals.

We have had 2 big fixtures in Manchester over the last 2 weeks as Man city played in the League cup final on Sunday 1st March and then last night was the small matter of the Manchester Derby. This has meant teams had given notice of their absence while some teams cancelled on the day. The dates of these 2 matches had been known for a while which is why we allow teams to give 7 days notice so they don't get charged for their fixture. 

I would also like to remind teams of the guest player rule. If you are struggling for a team you can borrow up to 2 players from another team but you won't be able to have subs. The guest player rule is there to help get matches played not to allow teams to use the best players in the league to make your team stronger. I have spoken to the match officials to ensure moving forward the guest player rule is being used correctly.
