ASHTON SUNDAY 6 A SIDE LEAGUE NEWS 24TH JANUARY 2022

All the latest news for the Ashton Sunday 6 a side league direct from the Curzon Ashton Football Club.

It was a good night in the league with all teams in attendance as expected with the exception of Net 6 and Chill who contacted the office to inform us of their absence.

They will be contacted to confirm they are back in attendance next Sunday 30th January as normal.

We did welcome our newest team to the league last night as FC Duki Dons played their first game in the league at 7pm against Cockwombles. Unfortunately Duki Dons ended with a 4-0 loss and also had a player sent off for violent conduct. The player in question will serve a 2 week suspension from the league and the team captain will receive a phone call form Head Office warning them of their future conduct.

With all the goals being scored last night its difficult to single out a match but the close 3-1 win for Costa Del Gorton over Pique Blinders in the Premier league just edges out the other fixtures.
