The 20th of September saw the launch of the new season Dereham Mondays with the newly crowned championship champions NorfolkandChance picking up from they left off, with an experienced thumping 7-1 win over new boys Only Kruls and Horses.

The other new team to join the league Old Timers, also came away with 0 points from their first game, losing 3-1 to DadBods. The 3rd goal the pick of the bunch, with a well placed long ball finding the striker, who scored with a great first touch and finish 

Both new teams will pick up plenty of results this season, once fitness and getting more experience of making the most of the long 6aside pitch.

The other 3 games were all tight affairs, the pick of the bunch being Paris Ganjamans 4-3 victory over GetKebabed. RedStarBellEnds and BeetleyPumas ended in a 1-1 stalemate. The 2nd and 3rd from the championship last year showing there is not much in gulf between the two.

A strengthened PutMatipIn couldn't put the ball in the net as they lost narrowly 1-0 to BobbyDazzlers. Both teams will be looking to improve on last seasons finishing postions.

From just this first weeks worth of action, its easy to see the league is going to be very tight for the rest of this season.
