Norwich City produced a 147-second short film about suicide prevention. It centered on two male football fans watching their beloved team over the course of a season, but by the end of the video one of the men was absent.
The video aimed to highlight the often hidden signs of mental health conditions, before encouraging viewers to "check in on those around you".
Norwich posted the video via the club's official social media channels on Tuesday.
This is a very powerful reminder that mental health struggles are not always so obvious so its important to check in with your friends as you never know what is going on.
Leisure Leagues in Norfolk offers a weekly opportunity for people to come together as a community to keep fit through 5 a side and 6 a side football. Just meeting up once a week with friends and socialising provides an opportunity to check in with friends and we should all be encouraged to speak more openly about mental health. Also exercise has proven to be an effective way to combat mental health so if there's a friend you haven't heard from in a while or a group of friends you haven't seen in a long time then we offer the opportunity to meet weekly, play some football, get fit and speak.
