The Plymouth Monday 6-a-side Football League kicked off its new season last night, with teams from across six divisions - Premier League, Division 1, Division 2, Division 3, Division 4, and Division 5 - battling it out on the pitch.
In the Premier League, Team Supreme V2 started the season strongly with a 3-1 victory over Jive Turkeys. MoLeicesters also secured a dominating 2-0 win against Pique Blinders FC, setting the tone for the battles that lie ahead in the upcoming weeks.
Over in Division 1, Saltash Unathletic showed their prowess with a resounding 3-0 triumph over For The Fish FC, while Lord Of The Wings scraped past Kia Picanto FC 2-1 in a closely fought contest.
In Division 2, Bazooka That Viduka outplayed TEG United with a final scoreline of 3-1, and Eleven Thirty FC defeated Law Abiding Sigurdssons 5-2. Keith It Lemon and Friendzone FC started the season with a 1-1 stalemate.
The Receding Hairlines and Lees Lions shared points in Division 3, each netting 3 goals apiece. The Balotellitubbies handed out a footballing lesson to Sladers Arms FC by winning 6-0, and I Need A Breather United fell to Trousers Down 11 with a score of 4-1.
In Division 4, AF United dispatched Shambles FC with an emphatic 10-0 win, showcasing their offensive prowess. Shagwell Army also showed no mercy, beating Ball Of Duty 8-0, while Gurnow Mill triumphed over Real Sosobad 3-1.
Finally, in Division 5, Packer Palace, Inter YaBAM emerged victorious against Austin FC and Boi United respectively. Mr Men And Friends and BBB FC played out a 2-2 draw.
The flurry of goals and intense competition marked an exciting start to the new season.
