Sports fans across Plymouth greeted the kickoff of the new 6-a-side football league season with great enthusiasm as week one delivered a feast of goals and action-packed encounters.

In the Premier League, Crouch Potato carved out a narrow 1-0 win over Barely Athletic, in what was a hard-fought contest. Lord of the Wings flew past MoLeicesters in a 2-1 victory, asserting their dominance early in the season.

The Division 1 action saw Menheniot Rangers face a challenging start to the season, suffering a heavy 5-1 defeat at the hands of Kia Picanto FC, who set the pace as early frontrunners for the title.

In Division 2, For The Fish FC fought bravely but fell short in a 2-1 defeat to Law Abiding Sigurdssons. Elbybombers triumphed over Lees Lions with a 4-2 scoreline and The Balotellitubbies outplayed Manlow’s Mates FC in a 4-1 victory.

Division 3 saw close games with Ball Of Duty losing 2-1 to Friendzone FC and The Receding Hairlines edging a 2-1 win over I Need A Breather United.

In Division 4, we saw Boi United and Gurnow Mill battling to a 2-2 draw, while Trousers Down 11 delivered a spectacular performance, thrashing Mr Men And Friends 6-0.

Lastly, in Division 5, there was a 1-1 draw between AF United and Austin FC, a massive 7-0 win for BBB FC against Shambles FC, and an intense match between Packer Palace and Ajax Trees Down which ended in a 2-2 draw.

The top scorers for each division set the tone, with Crouch Potato, Kia Picanto FC, Law Abiding Sigurdssons, Friendzone FC, Trousers Down 11, and BBB FC leading the way in their respective divisions.
