Last night marked the third week of the Plymouth Monday 6-a-side Football league and the action was nothing short of exhilarating.
In the Premier League, Silly Pumas edged out Crouch Potato with a narrow 1-0 victory, while Not In Ur Mums Forrest FC dominated The Receding Hairlines with a staggering 7-1 win. Ker Street United also had a commendable performance, securing a 3-1 victory over Jive Turkeys.
The Division 1 matches ended with some intense draws and close finishes. Slug FC and Cream Alexandra played out a goalless draw, while Roll The Dyche lost 2-1 to Spackers FC. Law Abiding Sigurdssons and Gamballers also couldn’t break the deadlock ending the game 0-0.
In Division 2, I Need A Breather United pulled off an impressive 4-1 win against Saltash Unathletic, while Royal Bale and Whats Occuring ended in a 2-2 draw. The most thrilling game of the night was Paraolympiacos Fc versus Inter Ya Nan which ended in a 5-5 draw.
Division 3 saw FC Brian Munich drawing 1-1 with AF United, while Clive was no match for Book Ake, who clinched a resounding 6-0 victory. BBB FC put up a good fight but ultimately fell 5-3 to Ball Of Duty.
For Division 4, it was an evening of big wins with Mr Men And Friends defeating Austin Fc 5-0, Jerry Can FC besting Trousers Down 11 3-1, and Eleven Thirty FC defeating Saka Potatoes 6-2.
Sevilla Depression, Packer Palace, and Gurnow Mill dominated their matches in Division 5, with respective scores of 6-1, 7-0 and 3-1 against Boi United, The Titans and Evan-essence Fc.
Top scorers for each division were Not In Ur Mums Forrest FC, Spackers FC, I Need A Breather United, Book Ake, Mr Men And Friends, and Packer Palace respectively, all proving their mettle in the field.
With these results, the league is heating up and next week’s games promise even more action.
