Play in the Southend Sunday football league powered by Leisure Leagues

In the thrilling ninth week of the Southend Sunday Football League, teams across the Premier League, Division 1 and Division 2 fought tooth and nail to add crucial points to their season tally.

In the Premier League, LL CFC prevailed over Varane Summers in a fiercely contested battle, edging it 2-1. Climatec Fc, however, were not as fortunate as they succumbed to Steve's Specials 3-2 in a match that had spectators on the edge of their seats until the final whistle.

Meanwhile, in Division 1, MITS Athletic displayed their prowess with a convincing 4-2 victory over Mellow Yellows. In the second match of the division, LL CFC 2nds managed to hold off Shark Island Nightmares with a 2-0 win, securing their position in the league table.

Division 2 saw an intense face-off as Shoebury Unathletic narrowly lost to Varane Summers 2nds, the final score reading 4-3. In the other fixture, S.I.N managed to scrape a 1-0 victory against Sparkalona, demonstrating a solid defensive performance.

As for the top scorers, Premier League saw Steve’s Specials' striker shine with a brace, aiding his team to victory. The top scorer in Division 1 was MITS Athletic's forward with his prolific striking skills which resulted in two goals. In Division 2, the accolades go to Varane Summers 2nds forward, netting three out of the four goals for his team.

The league is heating up as we progress into the business end of the season. The teams will now regroup and strategize for the forthcoming week, with every match becoming a potential decider for the final standings.
