The brand-new season of the Gowerton Wednesday 6-a-side Football league kicked off last night with a series of thrilling competitions across two divisions, namely the Premier League and Division 2.

In the Premier League, Young Boys set the pitch ablaze, besting Bampi's Little Girls FC with a convincing score of 6-1. In another contest, Gatehouse showed their prowess, beating Unathletico M with an impressive 5-2 win. The action continued with QPS proving their mettle against CC Rovers, securing a 4-1 victory. Capping off the Premier League matches, Krul Runnings earned a hard-fought victory over Milan in a nail-biting 3-2 finish.

Meanwhile, Division 2 showcased its share of exhilarating matches. Barnacle Boys and Oldman battled it out in a close contest that ended in a 2-1 victory for Barnacle Boys. Tawe and Shelgs FC offered spectators an equally exciting match, with Tawe edging out Shelgs FC 2-1. Curry lost 2-1 to Barley FC, while Dad's Army scored a solid 2-0 win against the Dulais Cowboys.
