In a thrilling display of football last night, the Gowerton Wednesday 6-a-side Football League saw some outstanding performances in both the Premier League and Division 2.
In the Premier League, Bampi's Little Girls FC took the lead by beating Krul Runnings with a 7-1 score. It was an outstanding show of teamwork and strategic play by BLG. The high-scoring match between CC Rovers and Milan was another highlight of the day, with Milan emerging victorious with a 3-2 win. Equally notable was QPS's 3-1 triumph over Gatehouse and the close encounter between Young Boys 6 and Unathletico M, with the latter taking the victory at 2-1.
Meanwhile, in Division 2, there were goals aplenty in the match between Barley FC and Dad's Army, as Barley FC dominated the game with an 8-0 victory. Curry managed to secure a 3-1 win against Shelgs FC, while Tawe's match against Barnacle Boys ended in a 4-3 nail-biter in favour of Tawe.
All teams demonstrated great skill and sportsmanship, making week 2 of the season a memorable one. As we look forward to the rest of the season, the competition promises to be fierce and exciting.
