In a fitting end to a fantastic season of Football, the Gowerton Wednesday League wrapped up last night with a flurry of goals and a showcase of exceptional talent. The 14-week tournament came to a conclusion, crowning QPS and Curry in the Premier League and Division 2 respectively.
In the Premier League, Bampi's Little Girls FC triumphed over Bale, with a final score of 3-1 while QPS demonstrated absolute dominance with a 4-0 victory against Krul Runnings. In another high-octane match, Unathletico M left the field victorious with a 3-1 win over CC Rovers.
The Premier League concluded with QPS taking the crown having amassed a staggering 24 points with 11 wins, a testament to their consistency and sporting prowess.
Meanwhile, in Division 2, Ellen Droad FC scrapped a narrow victory against Dad's Army with a 3-2 scoreline. Curry served a spicy dish to Dulais Cowboys with an overwhelming 10-1 victory, while Puyol and Barley Athletic ended their campaign with a goalless draw.
Curry's victory in Division 2 saw them accumulate a brilliant 26 points, boasting 13 wins over the course of the tournament.
