There were some cracking games down at Exwick Hub last night as match day 2 of our Exeter Tuesday 6 a side league was played out. Once again big thank you to all teams for embracing the change to online payments. We do have a couple of other changes we would like to make going forward and we are happy to listen to any feedback from you guys. The first change is that the discipline procedures need to be revamped so refs and players all know it, overall there are few issues at the league according to the refs but there isn't a league in the country that won't now and again experience issues which need to be dealt with accordingly, details will be put out to captains this week. Also I have noticed that there are no goalscorers being recorded, we run nearly 30 leagues and this is a great feature and one we'd like to introduce at Exwick. We will talk with the refs about this.
Here's a quick look at the results from last night. In the Premier League Pie & Gravy showed why they won the league at a canter last season as they defeated Snorting Lisbon 15-0. Los Cojonudos United and Tremors also made it two wins on the bounce as Los Cojonudos beat Inter Yanan 4-2 while Tremors won 5-3 against Tuesday Knights. The other result was a 2-2 draw between Thirsty Beaver FC and Chicken Tika Taka.
There were lot's of competitive matches in Div 1 as Hakuna Juan Mata won 6-2 against Bayern Bru to sit top, we've been told that Hakuna will get better and better every season and should be able to mix it in the Prem before long. Crystal Phallas are second after a 3-1 win over Blood, Sweat & Beers. Other results saw Private FC beat Queasy Nurples 4-3 while DX United and Liquorice Allsports shared a 3-3 draw.
FCSB are looking for back to back promotions as they remain top of Div 2 after an impressive 7-1 win against Unreal Madrid. The Dons are up to second with a 5-1 victory against Win Some Lose Some. Chubby Alonso's got their first win as they beat Giroud Sandstorm 4-0 while International All Stars also picked up their first points of the season with a narrow 2-1 win over Hardly Athletic.
Strawberry Moussa are looking strong in Div 3 as they comfortably saw off Tinpot Town FC 9-1. Rigor Morty's also have a 100% record as they produced a solid display to beat Reus Crispies 2-0. The other two games were extremely close and both ended up in 2-1 victories for the home sides. Into Ur Grandad with a win over Law Abiding Sigurdssons while Sands United beat Crackin Plurrs.
Thank you to all 32 teams for turning out, makes it a fantastic event when all teams are in attendance. We have 8 teams on the waiting list all desperate to get in which shows how popular the league is. Big thank you to our refs Ash, Danny, Andy and Lester and our ball boy. See you all next week, Thanks Rich
